The seed of New Sprout was planted long ago when my husband, then boyfriend, and I just started working as educators. As first generation immigrants, through our working experience we have realized that our mother tongue, especially in those who are second generation immigrants, can fade away easily if we don’t teach them intentionally.
With the birth of our daughter, we became even more concerned that even in a multicultural country like Canada, she would grow up not knowing how to speak, read, write or comprehend a language where her ancestral roots were based.
After looking for a quality child care that provides learning experience in both English and Mandarin Chinese, we realized that there was a lack of such facility. And that lead to our journey with New Sprout Child Care Centre.
